The stories in this collection should focus on the range of emotions we feel as one year ends and another begins: excitement, achievement, determination, grief, disappointment, uncertainty. Time period can be the days leading up to midnight on NYE, through midnight itself, or a day or two into the New Year. Stories do not have to take place in 2024-25 but shouldn't leave the ’00s.

While I suspect many will include a kiss at midnight, romance does not need to be the theme. Self-discovery, mystery/suspense, and even touches of magic may appear.
