Desi Stowe officially started writing in early 2022. However, she'd been developing her scaffolding as a writer for many years. She had a way with words and a love of stories, so writing was a natural next step. She also found that writing was a wonderful escape into a fictional world, even if that world mirrors real life.

She worked to combine her experience in healthcare and her love of writing into her first novel. In February of 2024, she published Done, her first novel of the Charleston Harbor series. In 2024, her second novel Shadows and a short story “Seeking Sanctuary” were new additions to the Charleston Harbor world.

She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband and two children. During the day, she works as a physical therapist. Her writing occurs in sporadic spurts while juggling other responsibilities. Desi often finds herself daydreaming about plot progression and character arcs while working out or washing dishes. The characters of her novels have a special place in her heart and hopefully yours, as well.

Desi’s short story “Seeking Sanctuary” appears in Another Chance to Get It Right: A New Year’s Eve Anthology (2024) and “We Already Have” appears in Recipes for Romance: A Sweet Valentine’s Day Anthology, to be published in January 2025.
